The vineyards for Homage Syrah are situated in the Hawke's Bay region, renowned for its ideal Syrah-growing conditions. The area's stony soils, coupled with a climate that offers ample sunlight and cool nights, create an environment conducive to the cultivation of Syrah grapes with concentrated flavours and refined tannins. The winemaking process is guided by precision. It includes fermentation of individual blocks of grapes, some whole bunch and some destemmed. These steps enhance flavour and tannin balance and allow the character of each parcel to shine through. Ageing takes place in a combination of part-new French oak barrels for 12 to 15 months. These practices highlight the varietal's natural attributes while infusing the wine with complexity and a unique sense of place. Trinity Hill Homage Syrah features dark fruit, notes of pepper, spice and smoky hints in a well-crafted palate with smooth tannins. This wine promises excellent ageing potential.
