Le Claux vineyard is distinguished by its old Grenache vines, some of the oldest in the Gigondas appellation, deeply rooted in a mix of limestone and clay soils. These venerable vines produce grapes of extraordinary concentration and complexity. Grapes are meticulously hand-harvested and sorted, ensuring that only the best fruit is used. Whole-cluster fermentation with natural yeasts occurs in wooden vats, with an emphasis on gentle extraction to preserve the delicate nuances of the Grenache. The wine then undergoes ageing in part new oak. This wine is bottled without fining or filtration to preserve vintage and terroir authenticity.
