Understanding Gilles Barge, Cote Rotie, Plessy, Rhone
Grapes for Plessy come from across several prime lieux-dits located in the Côte Blonde site with the finest growing in the Lanecement vineyards. In line with the traditions of the Northern Rhône, a small inclusion of Viognier adds aromatic freshens and lift, creating a wine that is both powerful and nuanced. Grapes are harvested manually and sorted with great care, ensuring that only the highest quality fruit is used. Traditional fermentation and maturation practices are in place to promote fruit concentration and subtle layers of complexity. Plessy displays dark fruit flavours accented with floral and spicy notes, all underpinned by a solid mineral structure. The wine's refined tannins and elegant profile hint at its potential for graceful ageing.
