Pure is sourced from centenarian Grenache vines rooted in the region's characteristic Galets Roulés and sandy soils. Their deep root systems, draw out nuance and minerality from the earth, imparting exceptional depth and complexity to the wine. Grapes are harvested at the peak of ripeness and undergo a meticulous double sorting. All underripe stems are removed to prevent astringent masking of the Grenache, fruit sees extended maceration for full flavour extraction and gravity-flow winemaking is in place for gentle handling. Fermentation takes place in tulip-shaped concrete vats resulting in rounded wines. The wine matures in old oak for 18 months and isn’t filtered before bottling to preserve terroir and vintage expression. Pure displays ripe red fruit, garrigue, spice and a delicate minerality in a sumptuous, refined palate with silky tannins and vibrant acidity. This wine offers an unfiltered glimpse into the heart of Châteauneuf-du-Pape.
