Understanding Chateau La Nerthe, Beauvenir Blanc, Chateauneuf-du-Pape, Rhone
This distinguished white wine is predominantly made from Roussanne, complemented by Grenache Blanc, Clairette and other traditional white varieties of the region. The grapes are sourced from the estate’s oldest and most prized vineyards, where the diverse soils and microclimates contribute to the grapes' intense flavours and aromatic complexity. Grapes are hand-harvested and undergo a meticulous selection process. After a slow pressing, low-temperature fermentation occurs in French oak followed by maturation on lees for nine months. These steps add complexity and texture while retaining the purity of fruit flavours. Beauvenir features white florals, ripe stone fruit and subtle hints of spice and toast in a layered, textured palate lifted by fresh acidity. Châteauneuf du Pape Blanc Beauvenir is not only a reflection of its prestigious appellation but also a white wine with significant ageing potential, evolving gracefully over time.
