Génération is crafted from a blend of classic Châteauneuf-du-Pape varietals, with a focus on Grenache, Mourvèdre and Syrah. The grapes are sourced from the estate's carefully tended vineyards, characterised by the region’s diverse soils, including the iconic Galets Roulés. The age of the vines and the unique microclimate contribute to the complexity and concentration of the fruit. Fruit is handpicked at optimal maturity, ensuring the highest quality. The varietals are co-fermented in a mix of vats, a step that deepens the wine’s fruit intensity. Depending on the vintage, the wine ages in oak for 14 to 18 months, which imparts depth, subtle spiciness, and a hint of vanilla, complementing the varietal characteristics. Châteauneuf-du-Pape Génération features ripe dark fruit, garrigue and a touch of earthy minerality in a rich, full-bodied palate with well-integrated tannins and a lingering, elegant finish. Génération, while sumptuous in its youth, also boasts considerable ageing potential, allowing it to develop further nuance and complexity over time.
