Understanding La Negly, Ancely, La Clape, Languedoc
This exquisite wine is crafted from a blend of carefully selected grapes, predominantly Mourvèdre, grown in the unique sandstone, limestone and clay soils of La Clape. The estate cultivates low yields to produce the finest quality fruit. The maritime climate imbues the grapes with a distinct mineral quality, enhancing the wine's complexity and depth. Grapes are hand-harvested so that only the best are vinified. The winemaking process involves precise fermentation under controlled conditions, followed by ageing in large French oak barrels. This methodical approach ensures the perfect balance between preserving the wine's robust fruit flavours and introducing additional layers of complexity through oak maturation. Château La Négly La Clape Ancely features dark berry, plum, garrigue herb and spice in an opulent yet elegantly structured palate with seamlessly integrated tannins. This wine has remarkable ageing potential.
