At 11.4 hectares, Les Beaumonts is one of the largest Premier Cru climats in the acclaimed Vosne-Romanée appellation, situated in the renowned Côte de Nuits subregion of Burgundy in eastern France. The vineyard is planted entirely with Burgundy’s signature black grape, Pinot Noir. Its lower end is hemmed by Grand Cru-level plots that are part of the Grand Cru-classified Echézeaux vineyard. The Domaine Louis Latour Vosne-Romanée Beaumonts displays concentrated blackcurrant and mocha in a fresh palate with peppery liquorice notes, appealing hints of undergrowth and a persistent finish. This Premier Cru is ideal for seven to ten years of cellaring to allow its full potential to emerge.

Understanding Louis Latour, Vosne-Romanee Premier Cru, Les Beaux Monts, Burgundy
The domaine cultivates its Beaumonts Pinot Noir through sustainable viticultural methods on enriching iron-clay soils. The aspect is east-facing, ensuring gradual yet full ripening of fruit for balanced and finessed wines. Fruit is carefully harvested by hand in a highly-selective process that ensures only the finest grapes see vinification. In the winery, this esteemed Burgundy undergoes alcoholic fermentation in traditional open oak vats followed by complete malolactic fermentation for a creamy, soft mouthfeel. It is aged in 40% new, medium-toasted oak barrels from the Louis Latour in-house cooperage for ten to 12 months to allow components to expand for greater complexity.
