This Premier Cru climat within the Saint-Aubin appellation is located on a relatively steep, south-west facing site. The increased wind exposure ensuring that wines from this site are notable for a distinct saline freshness on the palate. The Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey Saint Aubin Champlots hails from a 0.65ha plot of vines situated on well-drained limestone soils overlooking the village of Gamay in the eastern half of the Saint-Aubin commune. With time the wines express themselves beautifully with aromatic purity of fruit and pretty, floral notes, adding to a gunflint minerality. Recommend ageing for 5+ years.
