Understanding Domaine Nicole Lamarche, La Grande Rue Grand Cru, Burgundy
Employing biodynamic farming practices, Domaine François Lamarche ensured that La Grande Rue's vines flourished in harmony with their environment, yielding grapes that were a true expression of the vineyard's distinct character. In the cellar, the wine saw 16 to 20 months in oak and wasn’t filtered or fined before bottling to allow the terroir and wine's character to shine through fully. La Grande Rue displays ripe berry, nuanced floral notes, a delicate minerality and earthy tones. Its elegant structure and depth are indicative of the wine's excellent ageing potential when its complexity deepens.
