Understanding Bruno Colin, Chassagne-Montrachet Premier Cru, La Maltroie Blanc, Burgundy
Produced of 100% Chardonnay, the Chassagne-Montrachet La Maltroie of Domaine Bruno Colin is a delicate, precise and well-structured wine. Following manual harvest and selective sorting in the vineyards, the grapes are processed using a pneumatic press. The wine undergoes barrel fermentation on fine lees in 20% to 25% new oak. The wine is aged in oak for 12 months before being racked and transferred to stainless steel vats for 3 to 6 months. The result is a robust and opulent wine. It is rich and concentrated with notes of spice, candied citrus, stone fruits, toasted almonds.
