Château Talbot, a jewel in the crown of the Saint-Julien appellation in Bordeaux, carries a legacy steeped in history and tradition. Named after Connétable Talbot, a famed English warrior defeated at the Battle of Castillon in 1453, the estate is a beacon of quality in the Médoc region. Its vineyards were established in the early 17th century, and by the 19th century, Château Talbot was already recognised for producing top-tier wines, a reputation that was further solidified with its classification as a Fourth Growth in the prestigious 1855 Bordeaux Classification. Under the stewardship of the Cordier family, who acquired the estate in the early 20th century, Château Talbot has seen significant advancements in both viticulture and winemaking practices.
