Château La Croix du Casse is an esteemed house located in the heart of the prestigious Pomerol, appellation. It is famed for producing a single red wine each year featuring a blend of either Cabernet Franc or Cabernet Sauvignon with Merlot. The estate, with its roots stretching back to the late 19th century, has long been recognised for its dedication to crafting wines that express the depth and elegance of Pomerol's terroir. For many years, the winery was owned by Jean-Michel Arcaute, the proprietor of several other high-profile Bordeaux properties such as Château Jonqueyres and Château Clinet. Following Arcaute’s untimely demise, the winery was purchased by the vigneron Castéja family in 2005.
