Primarily composed of Sauvignon Blanc, with a complement of Sémillon, Domaine Chevalier Blanc is a harmonious expression of Pessac-Léognan's unique terroir. The grapes are sourced from the estate's meticulously maintained vineyards, characterised by their gravelly soils, which impart a distinctive minerality and freshness to the wine. Vinification of Domaine Chevalier Blanc is approached with a meticulous eye for detail, employing temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks to preserve the aromatic purity of the varietals. This is followed by ageing for 18 months in 35% new French oak barrels, a step that enhances the wine's complexity without overwhelming its intrinsic character. This judicious use of oak introduces subtle nuances of toast and spice, enriching the wine's texture and depth.
