Château Duhart-Milon, a distinguished estate in the Pauillac appellation of Bordeaux, dates back to the early 1700s. Originally a part of the Lafite estates, its identity was formed under the Duhart family, reputedly former privateers under Louis XV. The name "Milon" is a homage to the hamlet in Pauillac where it's located. The estate was rated a Fourth Growth in the 1855 Bordeaux Classification. The Rothschild family acquired this 76-hectare estate in 1962, marking the beginning of significant rejuvenation and modernisation. Bordering the esteemed Château Lafite Rothschild, Château Duhart-Milon shares its illustrious neighbour's vineyard and winery teams. Its holdings are planted two-thirds to Cabernet Sauvignon with the remaining third dedicated to Merlot.
