Understanding Chateau La Lagune 3eme Cru Classe, Haut-Medoc, Bordeaux

The ethos of Château La Lagune is deeply rooted in respect for the environment and a sustainable approach to viticulture. The estate employs organic practices across its vineyards, ensuring the health of the vine and the soil. This philosophy extends to the winery, where innovative techniques are applied with a gentle hand to preserve the integrity and fruit expression. The vinification process is carefully tailored to each vintage and features gravity-fed processes to preserve fruit purity. Fermentation takes place in stainless-steel vats sized according to different vine parcels. Following blending, the wine ages for 18 months in French oak that’s 55% new. This meticulous care results in a wine that is not only a reflection of its prestigious appellation but also a benchmark for quality in the Bordeaux region. Château La Lagune displays ripe dark fruit, cassis, floral notes and subtle spice in a finessed palate underpinned by silky tannins. This wine has considerable cellaring capacity.
