Planted in 1961, the vineyards in Langhorne Creek where the Noon Shiraz Reserve is cultivated benefit from the region's unique terroir, characterised by fertile soils and a climate conducive to producing Shiraz with intense flavours and depth. The area's natural conditions, including cooling breezes from the nearby ocean, contribute to the development of a Shiraz that is both robust and balanced. Fruit is hand-harvested, ensuring only the highest quality fruit is used. The grapes are mostly destemmed to encourage fruit power and fermented in French oak for steady extraction of colour and tannins. It ages for 18 months, is bottled without fining or filtration and has minimal sulphur. These practices result in a harmoniously structured wine. Noon Shiraz Reserve Langhorne Creek displays dark berry, spice and hints of chocolate and liquorice in a full-bodied palate with well-integrated oak and smooth tannins. This wine has excellent cellaring potential.
